In line with the Children's Act and our school motto, we put the well-being of each child at the forefront of all our planning and decision making.
Our Aims:
- To provide an environment which keeps children and adults safe from physical, emotional or psychological harm.
- To provide an environment in which a healthy lifestyle is promoted and encouraged.
- To ensure that all children and adults have equality of opportunity to be self-motivated, lifelong learners who enjoy learning and thus to achieve their full potential.
- To be at the heart of the local community, both drawing on the strengths of that community and providing support for community groups and individuals as appropriate.
- To enable all children and adults to develop their knowledge and skills and to be aware of life and career opportunities in order to fulfill their potential for independence and economic well-being.
The school has a range of facilities providing a stimulating working environment. These include:
- A large playground area for KS1 and KS2 pupils
- Extensive grassed areas including a fenced garden with a wildlife pond and greenhouse
- An adventure playground
- 15 laptops for KS1
- 30 laptops for KS2
- Each classroom has an interactive whiteboard.
- A spacious hall, which is used for dining, assemblies and P.E.
- A compact, well-stocked library
- A covered outdoor play area for children in the foundation classes
Our building has a lift to provide access to the higher levels of the site for disabled pupils.
